Old Town Striper Kayak

Post by Kasey »

I'm looking into buying a new yak. I'm pretty new to all this. I currently use an old beat up pelican 116 and want someting way better. I would like a yak with a wide width. I saw the Old Town Striper at Wind & Wave in the bluff and thought it was pretty nice. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanx!

What size are you physically?

What are your expectations? Flat water, Moving or ocean?

Are you looking for used or new? whats your price range?

I would be using it for shallow water like in aransas pass. Price range would be around a grand. I'm a bigger dude and I know that I would like a yak with some width. As far as new or used, I'm not sure. It would depend on the condition. Probably new

There a TON of good used (I mean not a year old) boats on this forum in the classified area for sell.

Even from where ever you are some of these prices are worth the drive to go pick them up.

Take a look at the Jackson Cuda. Good stable yak.
