Jones Bay

Post by Fish - On »

I fished Jones Bay and launched from Louis Bait Camp. The sign says they charge $3 but when I tried to pay they said not to worry. Kayak friendly.

In the morning I hooked up a bunch of times under the bridge but couldn't land anything.

The rest of the day was slow and no hook ups.

Nice pictures. Were you using live or artificial bait for your hook-ups?

All artificial. Don't like using live bait.

Nice pix! I went to that bait camp last week and got another response. I walked in with two other guys with yaks and we were all told that we would have to pay.

I went out of another boat launch (I can't remember the name of it, but it's right before the causeway) and had good luck along the grass banks-lots of redfish crashing bait.
