Any shallower they would need legs to get there...
I got 4 of them yesterday and 1 red. The reds continue to be picky and not so interested in my fly but the blacks are pretty aggressive. Thank heavens for that and there are quite a few of them in the shallows.
That's a black crab fly tied on #4 hook sticking in his mouth. Large beadchain eyes to keep the fly on the bottom when I strip it.

Well done! 24" Black Drum in skinny water without spooking is a sign of good casting for sure!

thanks for the kind words but you would be surprised how tolerant those fish are when they are busy mucking for snails.
