I am looking for a taxidermist to do a redfish replica mount for my son. Can anyone provide a recommendation? I dont have any previous experience with fish mounts so I dont know who to be looking at for this. Any help is appreciated.

PS....I live in the Houston area

No experience for myself, but New Wave Taxidermy in Florida gets high praise from a lot people looking for the best mount.

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation but continue to do your research. Getting the wrong taxidermist can result in a bad situation. I mounted a 36" red just because I caught it in 2 feet of water in the bay and I didn't have a fish on the wall. Had a replica done by a friend of a friend type of deal. The color turned out fine but there's a huge gap in the head and the mount is only 33" instead of 36" (and I was charged by the inch).
