Christmas Bay_2 Sep (Fri)

Post by txanalogkd »

I decided to hit Christmas Bay before the weekend crowd. No fish, but lost three what I thought were reds; two missed blow ups on a top water, one on a bubba clucker mullet. The fish put up a good fight but came off because hook was covered in grass.

It was going to be a catch release day anyway because I forgot my ice chest. The water felt good which means we are done with the high heat.

Wonderful. My favorite bay. I’ll be out there when the cooler weather clips that sea grass.

Thanks for the report. I, too, amd a huge fan of Christmas Bay and plan on spending a lot of time there soon. For me, it’s been a whole lot of canal lights at night.

A friend I bicycled with this morning came back from Rockport last week and reported good catches.
The overcast, any rain, and improving fall tides all must be helping.
