I looking for put in info for the Upper Mt. Fork( 9 miles or less above The Narrows)? I read about there being one on SW Paddler but am unclear where it is.

Also, anyone here done this stretch? It is only about 150 cfs right now and wondered how that would be? Would there be a lot of hard paddling or a lot of dragging/walking?

Would love to hear about any experiences with the water flow/rapids, etc. with the UMF above THe Narrows down to The Narrows.

Thanks!

Yes, there are put ins above the narrows. First one is about 12 miles above called Beachton Road. There is a low water bridge there where the road crosses but limited parking. As for rapids and water levels. I recommend nothing lower than ~200 cfs with upper being 2k cfs. There are several drop offs and rock gardens and depending on water level a class II+ to Class III rapids between Beachton and the Narrows. There is a great rapid at the HWY 4 bridge then another just below the confluence with Eagle Fork Creek. At 2k cfs it will be a ride not a fishing trip. I own property along the river about 4.5 miles down from Beachton road and have paddled this river countless times all the way from where it forms on a ridge near the OK/AR border then back into AR then crosses again into OK to the narrows. From where it forms to the Narrows is about 44 miles. There are also several put ins above Beachton road. See some of my trip reports below for better details. I will be up there over Memorial Day weekend in a cabin on the river and plan on paddling some sections depending on the water level.

Hope this helps and be careful up there.
