Saltwater Lures
Im here in the Corpus Christi area and was wondering what brand/colors of saltwater Lures are best for this time of year for Redfish and Trout? Thanks
Re: Saltwater Lures
DSL soft plastics. I like purple/ chautreuse tail.

DOA shrimp under a popping cork, standard set up for the coast.

I've had my best luck with a Gold or Silver 1/4 ounce weedless spoon (I.E. Johnson Silver Minnow) in that area. I use a ball bearing swivel to help prevent line twist.

I'm a fan of Z-man 3" minnow tail on Z-man Texas-eye jointed jighead.
You always match color to light and water clarity.
This would be overcast in turbid water.
And of course Trout Support Lure
Early morning low-angle light
These two for taller sun in clear water

I'm more of a back lakes reds kinda guy. This time of year I'll always have a 3" curl tail grub (pumpkin/chartreuse tail) on a 1/8 oz jig head tied on. A topwater or wake bait is handy to have. Something that has a lot of flash. I really like the Vudu shrimp both under a popping cork or without a cork.

My son trolled a Down South through Packery channel early evening and picked up a decent speck a couple of weeks ago. He also thru a tandem in glow color through the canal lights and caught a few slot sized specks and a slot red.
