Lake Austin or Lady Bird Lake

Anyone know how the fishing is on either of those? I know Lady Bird you don't have to deal with boaters. But, is lake Austin even worth trying out now? or wait till fall? Also, does anyone know when they do and don't generate current on lady bird?
