You are right. They are predicting 40% chance of thunderstorms. Saturday may be a better choice. Are you available?

Can't do Saturday. Weather Underground is now showing 20%. Will just need to keep an eye on it.

Im at the ranch for the rest of the week otherwise I would join u. Gonna fish Pedernales River at Johnson City.
Did hit Cali on July 4th morning. Plenty of tilapia at launch to the left of where u launch in the grass. Let your net sink in before retrieving. Lots of gizzard shad also which I threw back. Tilapia from 1" to 3". They were even still there when I came back in at 1pm. It was decent at 181. Off and on bite. two poles at a time for about 30min then stop. They kept moving so when they stop try a different area. They stayed in a 50' radius. 12' to 15' average depth. nothing over 16'. they never went deep. All large fighters. One Blue. Reeled in six lost more. Trash is really building up down there and they are diving in it.. Good luck.

Nice catch. I need to move more. I will follow your advice tomorrow. Too bad you can't join us tomorrow.

Yakdat and myself couldn't ask for a nicer day. Plenty of bait by the launch and no wind. We made to the 181 Cove and right away Yakdat hooked on to a nice 3-4lbs Channel Catfish using chicken liver. I followed with another nice cat. They were hitting for very steady for about an hour and then it got cold. I relocated from 12 ft to 14ft depth and found them on top of the dam with all of the bottom trash. We were joined by John and his sleek Wilderness Ride Radar 115 (pedal system), We finished the day with Yakdat 14 cats and was able to land another 17, John had 3. All fish were in the 3-5 lbs range. No Reds to report.

Nice! Looks like the fishing was as hot as the weather!

Jimbo without a breeze iIt was ok until 1100 when it became very hot. The fish were biting steady until 1000.
Most likely I will be there this Saturday.

Weather underground predicts a carbon copy of this last weekends weather....Little to no wind= HOT! It's summer time!
