Thought I would post this video I saw on FB. It shows specks feeding at night, unbelievable how fast they can strike.

Pretty cool watching 'em tear up the minnows. I'll be thinking about this video next time I hit the lights (wishing they'd hit my lures like that!).
Re: Video of Speckle Trout feeding, Lighting Fast
I like these videos of fish feeding. I think I've seen this one before or one very much like it. I try to watch what the bait did before it got inhaled. Those trout are pretty stacked. Those trout seem to smash those little sardines or whatever as the bait rises.

I like how they face into the current waiting for a meal. Shows why its best throw your lures up current and retrieve that way.

When I'm real hungry, I eat like that, darting around quickly, fighting off friends, & inhaling stuff. Sometimes it's embarrassing. Shoffer knows.

I know what you mean. For example, at a restaraunt just now, I inhaled an order of beef short ribs to prove there is not bone in them. I would have won either way, I know, but I proved my point just the same.Dandydon wrote:When I'm real hungry, I eat like that, darting around quickly, fighting off friends, & inhaling stuff. All facing into the current and all feeding laterally or in an upward direction.
