This year hasn't been bad, but it has not been typical winter patterns on my trips so far. I am hoping February is better.

Big trout month started in December!

Big trout months for me are late Fall to spring!! There's long trout year round but the heavier trout will be late fall til spring. Especially close to the spawn.

This time of year they are the fattest and heaviest from now thru 1st spawn which is around late April or early May most years depending on variables.
