Since we quit clowning around on the West Texas Forum I have noticed a marked improvement. Reports, tips, get-togethers, ass off tournaments...can't keep up with it all.
(tongue-out-of-cheek....kudos to Aggroman for continuing to do his part. )
What an Improvement!
Re: What an Improvement!
I know it is minor but I recently ordered a small yak so I can go play on the water in West Texas again. Aggroman was the inspiration for me.

Re: What an Improvement!
You two quit clowning around over here, this is for serious posts only!
I try and do my part, but just haven't been out in the yaks since our Pecos trip, so nothing new to report. Well, not kayak related. The last 2 months we've put down the paddles and picked up the bows and guns. Went out to a friend's lease near Ivie three weekends in October. I got my first buck with a bow last weekend. Yeehaw! It's all Nicholas' fault for getting me back into all that. September was spent chootin' dove. But hey, hanging with friends and family out in the field...I don't care what i'm doing, fishin, huntin, fartin, it's all worth it.

I used to really enjoy dove hunting with my archery equipment outside Houston. You could hunt with archery equipment in areas that guns were not allowed. Thus we had lots of doves to shoot at.

Re: What an Improvement!
I missed 3 turkey with my recurve bow on the 9th. I don't think i'll be trying to shoot anything smaller if I can't even hit a turkey. In my defense, we were stalking them and not in a blind, and my shots were a little further than i've tried with that particular bow. I must be pretty good though...out of all that open land, I managed to hit a t-post. (about a $25 oops)
Here's my boy wandering down to the river that day.

Re: What an Improvement!
Nice job guys, now we're all in trouble.
Re: What an Improvement!
Don't worry about the noise, I am too old and deaf to hear it. West Texas guys are a lot better at trying to have tooooo much fun.
