We both saw it!

Post by joel45acp »

Took the wifey to Calaveras for a few hours of fishing and relaxation. We launched from the yak launch area at about 6 o'clock and paddled out about 300yds out with no luck. We decided to call it quits at 10pm and headed back in. While we were loading the yaks, we hear a ruckus in the reeds to the left of the launch area. The birds were going nuts when all of a sudden I see a pair of eye glowing in the water as a shine my spot light. It was a gator about 7 to 8 ft long swimming about 50yds off shore. It swam across to the other reeds to the right of the launch area and disappear in them. The sighting freaked out my wife. Lol.

Yep, he gators have been on T.V. news. I'm more afraid of the brain eating amoebas than gators. I don't want to end up a kayak ramp, bank fisherman.

Too late for me, the amoebas ate my brain a long time ago.
