thought some of yall might find this interesting... friend of mine that works for TPWD caught this in a gill net in the keith lake system this week.... was released alive. He has been telling me that there are juvenile tarpon in the system for a couple years now.

My grandfather grew up in Sabine Pass. He remembered people catching tarpon, jewfish, snapper, and all kinds of other fish in the pass back in the 20's. His father came down on a granite train and stayed to build the jetties. I would imagine there were tarpon all in the marshes and Sabine Lake back then.
