Lures for B&R Flats

Post by Lab Luver »

What 4 or 5 lures/soft plastics would anyone recommend for fishing for reds from daybreak to noon on the B&R Flats. (No flies just yet)

Thanks!!

Bass Assasin

Post by Charlie Tuna »

I was there 3 weekends ago and the only softbait I had any luck with was the Red w/white tail Bass Assasin rigged weedless. I did not come up with this combination til latter in the day (11am). I assume they would go for in the morning as well.

Good Luck

Mirrolures. Top Dogs, Top Pups, He Dogs and She Dogs. This is what has produced my success on the flats. I will say that My only success has been to site cast to tailing reds. When they are not tailing I blind cast my top dogs and spoons.

Red/White plastics and purple/chart plastics on 1/8 oz heads worked for me. Also, Chart/Bone mirrolure topwaters and gold spoons with red tails.

All of these have been catching reds in the past month at B&R.

I hope they are still working when i head back down at teh end of the month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

later,
Joe
