Hey guys I'm wanting to purchase a 1st yak.....
Anyone have the Catch 120 & do you think it would be a good 1st yak?
I'll also be packing this on the roof of a corolla & at 70lbs sorta concerns me...

The weight shouldnt be a problem. I have looked at the catch 120. It is thicker then the other pelican line of kayaks, looks solid. I really like it and that lava color is really growing on me. Let us know how it works out. Just a few reviews online and they all seem to be by pelican.

You are a week or two away from being able to paddle from most of the active kayak manufactures in this area. Try before you buy, if possible.
I agree with Newt - the weight isn't a problem - tie down in front and back to car, and cross straps of course.
