Hook Spit Rods LSKS Bulldog Trailers Event October 3rd

Post by EZ-E »

Hi Lone Star Anglers,

We are just a few weeks away from the October 3rd Bulldog Folding Trailers Event. We will be announcing Angler of the Year as well. Its been a tight race between Jason Blackwell & Joe Strahan for the $4500 prize & cash package. Registration will be closed on September 29th at midnight. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on the 3rd Tight lines & good luck!

Just because you did not fish most of the series you can still come in as a "darkhorse" & knock these guys down a space or 2 & bump someone else up in the AOY race & it can make for some very interesting weigh in drama  so don't get discouraged that you think you might not have a chance 8)

Stop by http://www.lonestarkayakseries.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for all your tournament info!

I have some swag on the way to hold a guess the weight contest. Once I get it, I will take a few photos, and post the contest.

Alright LSKS anglers :!: We will be paying out 24 places over $4200. 1st place gets $850, 2nd $625,3rd $425 & last place will get $50. Not to mention all anglers in the money will also receive sponsor prizes.

We will also be announcing the Angler of the Year this Weekend. AOY will be receiving a Viking Profish Kayak with rudder, a Bulldog Folding Trailer, Hook Spit Performance Rod, Salt Life Optics & $1000 in cash. Now that is one heck of an AOY package!!!!!

You know it might seem like the race for AOY is a done deal, but if both Joe and Jason have a bad day, there are at least 3 people that could vault themselves into the winning spot with a strong finish. Stranger things have happened.

BTW, what happens if the AOY ends in a tie?

I read the rules. In the event of a tie. The cumulative weight is the determining factor. Joe has 43.24# Jason has 42.89. Tie would go to Joe.

Yup, total weight of the fish after all four events will determine the winner if there's a tie. Jason has a 5 point lead as of right now. So if Joe finishes 6 places ahead of Jason then there would be a tie (if they finish far enough ahead of the others). However, since Joe's total weight is already more than Jason's, Joe would be the winner if there is a tie.

If Jason finishes 5th or better, he is the champion once again.
