Re: Hook Spit Rods Lone Star Kayak Series April 18th
This just in...... heard it from a reliable source. Due to the extremely large turn out for the first tourney Javelina Russ will be running a shuttle service from Gulf Greyhound Park to the weigh in. Tram will leave every 30 minutes to the weigh in. Dustin is encouraging a lot of the regulars to use this service to free up some parking. The last shuttle will leave the park at 4 PM sharp so don't miss it .If your a little early be patience, you will be picked up.

I was thinking I might have to park on the side of 45 and paddle across Highland Bayou to reach the weighin.

Re: Hook Spit Rods Lone Star Kayak Series April 18th
WOW 132 ... yall are awesome i was just hoping to break the 100 mark ... like 105 .... but DANG 132 so far ... i cant thank yall enough
Dustin
we will have at least 1 taxi/side by side driven by our own Javelina Russ running around Louis driving yall around from the back parking areas by the car wash to the scale. If your running towards the end of the weigh in time you can pull up to check in & then go park & bring your fish to the scale. Please do not block the boat launch area. As long as you check in before 4:30 we will let you weigh in.
We will not be shuttling from the Dog Track ... Mattyaker is a kidder

Re: Hook Spit Rods Lone Star Kayak Series April 18th
Just a safety reminder for this weekends event
#1... watch the weather...use common sense...lightning, wind, etc.
#2 ... The Rudy’s Redfish Series is going on this weekend please watch for boat traffic in the marsh areas. The powerboats will be running plane to get shallow & it's hard for them to see you last minute & stop in time not to hit you.
Please use your best courtesy & etiquette while on the water...you are also representing the LSKS. If you have an issue with a boat get the TX # & we can handle it once you get to weigh in. We will not tolerate any unsportsman like conduct, if any complaints are presented the result maybe disqualification from the LSKS.
This is our largest event with over 150 anglers fishing from Sabine to Matagorda so lets have fun & rip some lips & show everyone that we are the event to attend!

Re: Hook Spit Rods Lone Star Kayak Series April 18th
You know Sonny....... I thinking about sleeping in Saturday morning. Way to many fishing this event. Then mosey on down to the weigh in and reserving parking spaces with those orange cones. Then selling them on a first come first served basis. They get like 10 or 20 bucks at the fishing shows for spots. Of course I'd have to share with Russ for directing them to me cause he's not running the shuttle from the Park now . lol . But if anyone would like to reserve a parking spot in advance it's only $7.50 till midnight Friday then regular rates apply.......

That sure is kind Charlie. I think I will be ok though, I'm just gonna tie off to the pier and fish. There's gotta be some resident reds there!
