Out Backpackin'

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for some backpacking and hiking with Nicholas. It's our annual Dude Trip, and since my June flash flood, my wife has been a bit hesitant about a multi-day kayaking trip with the boy. So to rest her worries, we decided backpacking/hiking is the way to go for this years trip. First will be Carlsbad Caverns on Thursday as a warm up since he's never been there before, then spend the night in Pine Springs Campground in the Guadalupe Mts National Park. Then Friday morning we will hit Guadalupe Peak. Then that afternoon we will be heading to the Lincoln National Forest near Cloudcroft for a 12 mile trip on Saturday and Sunday. We will be back late Sunday. I doubt we'll have much service, so hope everyone has a great weekend and we'll talk to y'all Monday. Wish me (and my knees) luck!
