Nearby ponds

Anybody know of a nearby pond for some bass or catfishing? I've tried Tom bass park but they don't allow kayaks and I didn't catch anything. I'd like something nearby for when I can't make a long drive.

Have you tried armand bayou off of bay area? I hear there is some decent fishing over there.

Sheldon Reservoir - do a search on here for the positive and negatives of that spot...but it is a beautiful place to paddle and there are fish.

I went to look at this spot.. Honestly if I ever put in here I will have my wife drop me off and come back later. That parking is full of busted window glass. Indicating vehicle break ins.
