I have lived in Lubbock for about 5 years and never thought of these little lakes/ponds holding any LMB. I always see people out there fishing, but assumed they were going after catfish and carp. Thanks to a little encouragement from the TKF community (and nmYAK4fish's video http://goo.gl/OCpqSl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) I finally decided to hit these pounds and after 3-4 trips it finally paid off. This is not a big fish by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a fish.
If anyone wants to meet up weekday evenings or anytime on weekends... I am all in. Just shoot me a PM.
