The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Galveston Bay Chapter of the SCA Texas will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23rd at 7pm. This will be at the Fox and Hound Sports Bar located at the Gulf Freeway (I-45 South) at the Fuqua exit. This is in front of the new Cut Rate Fishing Tackle store.
We have an awesome line up of talent ready for this meeting: Mike McBride (McTrout) with Gulf Coast Connections will be presenting a detailed explanation of his Tides and Solunar tables that is published each month in the magazine. This is the most comprehensive and complete analysis of the major and minor feeding periods on the market today. He will answer any and all of your questions about the tables, the adventures of Capt. BucketHead, fishing and fishing shirts that require batteries!
Secondly, one of the most respected Captains in the Galveston Bay system, Captain Jimmy West will be there to talk about the upcoming fall fishing season. Most saltwater fishermen consider the fall as the premier fishing time of the year and Capt. West will get us off to a great start. If we have any duck hunters, he will talk about that if asked since last Saturday was the opening of teal season on the coast.
This is looking to be a fun and informative meeting with door prizes and $1 raffle for dinners, rods, and other goodies. If Legate and his cousins in the MLC band have their voices back from Monty's shindig, we might even get them to play a few tunes after the meeting! Thanks and I hope to see you there.
