Oat Meal Time
I just make the best Oat meal I have ever made..First it was Old fashion not instant...butter / cinnamon / Turbinado sugar/touch of half and half.. but here is the kicker...I chopped up some apples I grilled in it...
Re: Oat Meal Time
Steel cut oats is about all I'll eat any more as far as oatmeal goes. Takes 30 minutes and regular stirring, but it's worth it especially since my Kroger sells it cheap in their bulk department.
Apples and cinnamon is a great combo.

You can cook steel cut oats in a crock pot over night. Eat what you want in the morning then put the rest in a baking dish and bake not sure how long but until browned. Cool and cut the baked ones into squares and eat them like breakfast bars. I add some honey and before I bake em. I guess you could add apples to and cinnamon

Re: Oat Meal Time
I'm guessing this is the same?
Wife found this, and it says steel cut.
Only takes 5 minutes.
I don't add anything to it, kinda like the flavor just like it is.
Think it's the same as ones that take forever to cook?

Re: Oat Meal Time
I use the old fashion oatmeal. I add dried fruit, chopped pecans or almonds and honey, or I'll go with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cooked in the micro for about 4mins. I use milk and not water.
