Texas City Dike Saturday 8/11
Texas City Dike Saturday 8/11
I'm thinking of heading out to the Texas City Dike tomorrow morning, probably launch around 6:30 - 7:00ish. I've never been there before, so if anyone has any tips or cares to join me, please do! I'll be driving a red Saturn, paddling a yellow perception sport caster. Come say hi if you see me, or PM me and I'll give you my number.

I'll be wade fishing at mosquito island (very front of TCD to left which is suppose to have a 60ft hole) for trout and flounder early morning.
Be sure to take mosquito repellant and be careful of those rogue kamakazie waves that occur. If you are getting live/dead bait try to make it out there before 6am because Boyds will be packed and they don't start charging the Dike fee of $5 before 6am

60' hole is no longer there. Just FYI. Rogue waves are definitely still there. Good luck and tight lines!

This was taken just to the sw side of Mesquito island last weekend....couldn't have asked for better weather or fishing! Limited out on trout by 10am!

Try sky line road just before the dike. Go 20 or 30 yards of the rocks in front of the light house.

There is still a hole, its just 20ft deep now. I've mapped it on my depth finder a couple of times.Hookspit wrote:60' hole is no longer there. Just FYI. Rogue waves are definitely still there. Good luck and tight lines!
