Port A fishing ??

I am heading to Port A this weekend with the old lady to do some fishing out of the yaks. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to catch redfish and trout? I have only been out once before at the coast and didn't have to much luck. Was using live bait. I put in at redfish bay and paddled around for awhile but only caught 1 small trout. If anyone has information on good places to put in and what to look for when fishing and good baits to use I could really use the help. I really would prefere to use artifical but am not opposed to using live bait if it works better. Thanks for everyones help!
