Is it a bad time to fish right now?

Post by Codytxtcu »

Ive have been out the last two weekends fishing in multiple spots without as much as a bite. Is it just a bad time of year for fishing?

Stayed around Pier 121 Marina, used two different minnow jigs, and another rod with blood bait bottom fishing

try slowing down, then slow down some more.....All this rain roiled the water pretty good. Things may have to settle out some before the bite gets going. As dirty as this water is, you might consider switching to live bait for a while.

And it's NEVER a bad time to go fishing.

Cody not sure if I just suck at fishing now, but I have been out 3 times in the past month and I didn't even get 1 bite either time..... I am beginning to wonder if all of the fish died off in North Texas (j/k). I tried everything I had in my arsenal and nothing seemed to work. Not sure if this weird Texas weather pattern is throwing them off or not? Anyways, if anyone finds something that works let me know. I was thinking a crank bait would be great or a road runner/crappie jig, but so far nothing. I may try my luck here for the spawn.

BTW, I was fishing mostly smaller bodies of water not lake Lew. Good luck to ya and let me know if you find the secret out.

If the waters cold, fish slow. If that dosnt work fish slower. If you think you are fishing to slow, slow down some more. Shouldnt be to long before things really start picking up though.
