success at last!

Today I finally caught a fish with my fly rod

. I actually hooked 4 fish, but this is the only one that I landed. these little bass are quite the acrobats. I would hook one and it would jump 3 or 4 times, shaking it's head violently trying to throw the little popper (which ended up happening nearly every time) It was a lot of fun, and I am starting to get better at casting. Not sure if I am ready for a fat redfish just yet :roll:

If that's the first fish you've caught on the fly rod, send a PM to The Wizard and give him all the details and he'll send you a certificate for that.

It is my first fly rod fish. I even caught it using a popper that I made.

Congrats on your first fly rod bass. Where did you catch it (lake or pond)?
