evening at JFK

With school and work keeping my really busy this semester I haven't been able to get out that much. Well last night I couldn't take it anymore. Finished one of the three papers I have due soon I decided to go out. Went and grabbed the search 13 and put in under the causeway. On the way out there was a couple trout chasing shrimp but they weren't thick like they have been in the best. Headed out past the little island and started throwing a purple and char KFM and after about a dozen cast I get a good hit. Thought it was a good trout with the strong head shakes but it was about 17-18" Red which is rare for me around the lights. All in all had a good hour. Caught about 6 dinks also.
