Wish me luck

Post by bowgarguide »

I am going to put one of the yaks in the water this afternoon and see how the arm is. Swelling is down.
I sure do want to make the race this weekend.
I will know more after tonight.

The wrap seems to hurt more than it helps, this is on the top side of my arm a couple inches above my wrist.

Start slow. Build up if it feels ok. Stop if it doesn't. There will be other races.

Don't push it, Ron. There'll be other races, but you only got 1 arm--well--two I guess....

9/26/09--Trinity River Challenge. 11.8 miles--5.9 miles upriver and 5.9 miles downriver. That's my next and last race for the year. I've never been there. Suppose to be a flat water speed race. No obstructions or portages. Should be interesting. I will be in the "veteran" solo, sea kayak class.

Ron,

Sorry to hear that. I know you were looking forward to it. Why not take Gerald's advice and do the Trinity River Race? You should be fully recovered by then.

What part of the trinity would that be in?

Gerald

Good luck on the race. I expect you to win the "Over the Hill" category.

Also, Pam and I are considering a run down the San Marcos next Saturday. Love to have you along.
