Tide charts for Freeport/Quintana jetties, or the beach?

Post by Gizzard »

I have been searching for a good tide chart for the beaches around the Surfside or Quintana areas. I can find charts that predict the Freeport Harbor area, but not for the beach front. Am I wrong to suspect that the Freeport Harbor chart will be behind the beachfront? Does anyone know of a good site for the beach tides? OR does anyone know how much time should be added or subtracted from the Freeport Harbor tide charts so that you could predict the beachfront? thanks!

we've always used the tide times for SanLuisPass for the whole Surfside beach/jetty area.

Tide charts for Freeport/Quintana jetties, or the beach?

Gizzard,

I have been fishing on Quintana island since 1996. I have found that the jetties and beach front on that island are about one hour after the tides of freeport harbor.

Example- if high tide for freeport harbor is 11:00 a.m. then high tide for Quintana island is approx. 12:00 p.m. noon.

Good Luck!!

should be the other way round
the tide comes in the jetties before it gets to the harbor
