Houston Ship Channel - Saturday

Post by Mythman »

It's a "NO GO"

Here is the marine Forecast:

Saturday
North winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 5 feet.

Do not go the the Houston Ship Channel on the East end of Galveston when the wind is out of the North!!!

The marine forecast remain about the same for the HSC:

Saturday
North winds 15 to 25 knots becoming 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet.

There already has been a kayaker rescued by the Coast Guard this week, let's not tempt fate to cause another rescue or worse.

Be safe out there...........Don't Go to the Houston Ship Channel, on the East end of Galveston, this Sat.!

What about H.I.? I guess it doesn't matter what direction the wind is coming from, it'll be a pain to paddle back to shore..

Normally, HI is protected from the North wind for about 2-300 yards......then it can get bad. Often the North wind will lay the HI surf down too.

You might see what Jolly Roger says about HI as it is his back yard!!!

Weather is nice. There's a lot of freshwater that is begging to be fished.
