I ordered a Curado 100DSV from an eBay store for $150(shipping included), so its $100 after the rebate. :D

If affordablefishing.com is an authorized Shimano dealer in the US, thats a great deal...

That is an awesome deal. I've been wanting to get one of the 300 series for offshore trips. It would be ideal for dorado.

I bought a Curado off of Ebay and had nothing but problems with it. To this day I suspect I bought a fake Shimano reel. I am sure if you are dealing with an authorized dealer there will not be a problem.

I just sent Adam at Affordablefishing.com and email regarding the rebate. He said they are an authorized shimano dealer, but Shimano will not offer the rebate if the reel is purchased at a price substantially lower than the msrp. They offer the curados at $150ish but said that because that is 25% less than the $199 msrp, that Shimano won't honor the rebate. Does anyone have a check in hand from Shimano from their purchase at affordablefishing.com or can anyone shed some more light on this?

PP- thats what i was told by Adam also but i figured the heck w/it i'll try anyway and sent it in. According to Shimano my check is on the way.
If for some reason i don't get it and they catch the mistake or whatever, oh well, $150 for the Curado is still a steal IMO.
