From what I've read, that's a pretty good lake boat and bass-fishing platform.
Inshore, it's a a bit of a barge in coast wind, though.

Thanks for that info Ron. One of my goals, after learning this rig, was to do some inshore stuff on the coast. Reds, specs, flounder… Note to self, keep an eye on the wind.

The trick at the coast is always plan around the wind. Pick your structure so you paddle upwind to get there, and the wind will help carry you home.
Plus you can drift fish most of the way home.
Look into the forum rigging archives for use of trolley and drift sock.
