A few of us are meeting at the slabs area at around 730 in the morning. All are invited.

Won't be able to make it tomorrow but I had a question about "The Slabs".

I've been to High Island many times but have no idea where "The Slabs" are. Is it further down the beach? Last time I was there, you couldn't get very far down the beach. Tide was high and the sign was washed out...If it's a cool guy secret, I understand.

Any way, hope you guys do well tomorrow. Looks like it's going to be an awesome day on the water. I've been drooling at the flat conditions all week but have been stuck working and have to work on the Jeep tomorrow.

No secret at all. The slabs are 2 huge concrete blocks on the beach about 1/2 to 3/4 mile west of the highway intersection at HI. They are gradually sinking and may not be visible at high tide.

I haven't been down there in a while, but they used to be between the 1st and 2nd beach entrance past HI.

Awesome thanks.

I guess I've always went down McFaddin (to the east) and not actually High Island. I'll have to check it out.
