I went out late morning on Sunday, 02/21/21, to scout out fish kills due to the freeze in Galveston West Bay. We covered around 40 miles up and down the bay. Water clarity was excellent 2-3ft. visibility, water temp was 43-47...warmer in the more shallow water. We didn't see any dead fish, that doesn't mean we don't have dead fish due to the freeze- but it's safe to say we haven't experienced the same large number like we have further south. One of the reasons for that is we have deeper bay systems and deeper channels like the ICW. Below is a video link with my full report and interview with a couple game wardens that I spoke to at a boat ramp.
