Re: More than Fish -
A bunch of nice pics here!! I was inspired to check on some more then came across these all from one trip. I was lucky not to get wet on this one, but the action provided some nice views -
Note they are in reverse time order - forgot about how they load!

Beautiful pics You'll.
Smart phones, Go Pros???
I take my smart phone out in a zip loc, but one day I fear I'm gonna ruin it.
You all using any special ways to protect your cameras?

I just use my phone right now and am really careful, but I am looking into buying a waterproof point and shoot camera and leash it around my neck. I have had my phone slide off my leg right over the edge while I was releasing a red one time. Not a good feeling!NativeSon wrote:Beautiful pics You'll.

I use an old iPhone 4 that I can’t give away. But I really have Ron Envy, don’t get him started or you will have it too! I’m saving my pennies, no, make that hundreds.

My camera is an Olympus TG3 so water is not an issue. It rides in a pocket on my pfd (also strapped to it) and so is always handy.
As stated above there are many great pics here! Thanks for all the posts.

My susnset photo is with my Sony Nex-3 (mirror-less dSLR), the purple sunrise is with my smart phone, and the rest were with my waterproof Sony TX-30 P&S.NativeSon wrote:Beautiful pics You'll.

I use my galaxy s8 active. It's supposed to be waterproof to like 5 ft or something like that. I really hope to never test that tho.NativeSon wrote:Beautiful pics You'll.

Re: More than Fish -
I've had dedicated waterproof fishing cameras for 15 years. When the office added Olympus digital cameras, I bought the factory-refurb Stylus SW for around $100 because I was familiar with the software.
(before that, occasionally took out my film SLR in a bayonet bag)
My last 850 SW is still working, but the water seals are going (all the programming icons have worn off the dials).
Last summer for my b/d, gave myself the new Olympus TG-5, and it's remarkable for a pocket camera.

With good shopping, you can get the Fuji for $100.
Keep on a lanyard, and just drop them after you take your photo.

I keep coming back to this thread and looking at all these great moments we've all captured. They are truly amazing!
Heres one where arrived too early at a Matagorda and overslept in my truck in the parking lot. When I opened my eyes I saw this. I should've been 10 miles down the beach already but what a great horizon to wake up to.

It is. I've fallen off boat docks while working and mine handles it no problem. Salt water may not be as kind . . .imaoldmanyoungsalt wrote:I use my galaxy s8 active.
