Looking for opinions on the Native Ultimate 14.5. (Speed, versatility, etc)
I will kayak mostly Solo. But love the idea of being able to have somebody come with or even a dog in the future.
I like the idea of a dryer ride (photography)
Is it worth it ? Or should I get the 15?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Native 14.5 Ultimate Tandem/Solo Opinions
IMO, the newer FX version has the better hull design. Feels more stable and doesn't draft as much which are pluses for flats. It is a heavier boat, but it has a larger weight capacity. Two of my friends (both adult guys each over 200 lbs at the time) swamped a 14.5 fishing one day (clearly over the weight capacity) in somewhat choppy conditions. So, depending on who you plan on fishing with you need to consider that aspect.
