He didn't make it, though the cause of death is not known. Kayaking on Hubbard in sustained 20-25, gusting 30-40 shows a lack of judgement by the group of 5 kayakers.

They're lucky only one was lost. Sadly, as kayaking grows, we'll probably see a lot more Darwin Award nominees.

Report says all 5 kayakers capsized. Two were able to swim to shore the other three (including the deceased) were rescued by a boater. The man was unresponsive when he was pulled from the water, according to the boater. I haven't seen whether or not who was or was not wearing a PFD.Ron Mc wrote:you also must raise the pdf question
Latest TPWD report shows lake water temp was between 49-52 degrees, so depending on how long they were in the water hypothermia could have played a part in the drowning.
