Post by CaptJack »

smoke-roasted salsa on the OldSmokey
45'mins indirect with hickory
seeds & most of the veins removed from the peppers
added one bunch of cilantro and into the food processor
another 30'mins simmering on the stove to mellow the flavor even more
most EXCELLENT

I ended up doing this it's the best salsa ever. Thanks for the idea Capt Jack!

I think I put salt and cumin to taste also. Had to use dried cilantro because didn't have fresh but it was fine with the simmering.

Used home garden tomatoes, peppers, and onions even.
Had to buy the garlic cause I can't get that to grow here heh.

Canned a few jars of it. Good stuff
