Link to Reservoirs

Post by karstopo »

https://waterdatafortexas.org/reservoirs/statewide

Excluded are power plant lakes like Fayette or Gibbons Creek and the little lakes like Raven, but this gives location and levels data all over the state for various reservoirs. I’m guessing just about every lake on this list is public and has access.

they used to always blame the rice farmers when Travis was down. I'm guessing there aren't any rice farmers draining Choke Canyon, though. Looking at the whole map, it's essentially a picture of the historic rainfall - it's all fallen to the east, with a dearth in the Frio and Nueces drainage. The gators probably like Choke Canyon that way.

I remember fishing Choke many many years ago when the water was way low. First time I looked WAY down the ramp to the water I had some serious second thoughts. Still it was a great placed to fish
