Yep - set up on a few favorite lights and pulled 7 good Spec keepers, but threw off 3 Dinko Sandies for every Spec...switched to Gulp New Penny/Chart Tail, up to 1/4 oz JH w/faster retrieve after the Specs failed to bang TS Split & DOA. The bait popping and tail slapping started after around midnight...some bites were so aggressive, they tore the Gulp in half.

Good, peacefully salty evening, despite the yelling, Popped-Collar doooosh-tards screaming "More Effing Fireball!!!" on the patio as I cast...and I admit it was long in the hours for the keeper numbers (what do you call Sand Trout elbow??) at least they let me borrow their papas electricity in peace. Thanks fratties.

You know, if you get them straight onto ice & cook them within 48 hours, sand trout can be some damn fine eating. I will keep any better than about 14".

X2
Those little buggers are tasty when cooked quickly after catching. Nice flavor and texture.
Go to SWP and they catch them by the dozens on sabiki rigs.
