Today was my very best day fishing alone.
Let me preface this by saying I have had little luck lately and am fairly new to the game. I launched at 630 am with absolute determination to not get skunked again today. I paddled and waded miles & at around noon after only having caught a 14" trout was frustrated and admittedly a little sad. I was paddling in the general direction of home-base and saw a little cranny and figured "why not". Keeper flounder! There were a few other yakkers in eyeshot so I released it right away (hence no picture). This made the day good and i was happy with the effort.
I couldnt make myself go back though..
So i paddled a ways without much of a plan- I came across this island that just said this is freaking redfish habitat to me and the sun was at a perfect angle so I could see through the water.. In about 30 minutes I caught 3 redfish- the first one got off AT THE KAK which I blame myself entirely for..... not yet coordinated with the 'put rod down grab fish alone' thing.
Anyways, had a good day & have learned a lot on this forum-- so thank yall!
Happy earth day!
