I bought the 135 ride mainly because of the weight capacity and price. It was a 2015 floor demo that came with the high seat. Can't wait to get it out btb.

Viking Profish & Old Town PDL
Bending Branches 240 cm (not sure of the model)
Okuma reels on custom tied rods (self tied)

many miles on Lake Michigan catching steelhead, salmon, and browns.

Found this site when I was living in Texas, am now back in Michigan (where this warm blooded Yankee belongs) and I follow the BTB section quite close because I use a lot of the same methods up here in the much colder waters of lake michigan and lake superior.

Houston TX - Fish mainly Freeport area with several trips down to Port A each year.

Ocean Kayak Prowler 13
Cheap Alum paddle
NRS Chinook lifejacket
Radio, GPS, + Personal Locator Beacon

Going on 3 years saltwater fishing and 1 year in the kayak. Made numerous bay trips last year but looking to head BTB this year. Would love to meet up with people going out this year. I can meet anywhere form HI to Corpus with a little notice. I have weekdays off often so would love to find others going out in the week.

Looks like weather is finally lining out. Monday 4/24/17 is looking good for BTB at Corpus. Will be trying to launching 8 am from the MP Rigs.

Also, for people that are getting into BTB and want to get other there with experienced BTBers look into Yaketyyak's post.

So I am looking for ppl that would be interested in exploring PINS. Was thinking about starting at the 25 mile marker, and just paddle out 3-4 mile in decent condition, looking for bait activiry and drift back hopping to find structure holding 18+ inch snapper and other fishy goodness.

Requirement:
awd/4wd vehicle
physically able to paddle the distance, but be able to paddle another 4 mile if currents are bad
Good sense of adventure
Good people to be around

*Also must bring full sized shovel
