Anyone have a spare Kayak that i can rent in the Rockport area??

Post by pcde123 »

I have a Hand full of friends that im grabbing a beach house with during spring break from March 16-18. Ill be kayak fishing and of course theyd love to join me but they dont have kayaks. Even if its just for one day, i was wondering if there was anyone that was willing to let us borrow/rent a kayak for a day or 2. Local services ask for 60 bucks a day which isnt bad but were in college and money is tight. It can be any kayak, even a sit in. Willing to pick up and drop off and pay up front. Nothing fancy, just looking for a kayak maybe you have around your kid or wife that doesnt get used all that much.

I remember a local kayak rental last year for something like $30 per day. Might be associated with the Skimmer boat that takes out folks for sight seeing trips.
You will have to google Tommy Moore, Skimmer or Whooping Crane tours. Worth a shot for cheap.

you're probably going to have to rent from a business. the way the world is today i doubt many people would be willing to hand their yak/s over to someone they don't know. we've all been there as far as being in college and/or money's tight. might just have to cut down on the beer stash. good luck though!

Two options in the area- Slowride Guide Service in Aransas Pass and Rockport Kayak in Rockport- both will drop off and pick up and provide paddles, PDF. BTW, Jennifer is not part of Slowride anymore.
