For sure, the water in the bays will become chocolate milk, especially near the mouths of the bayous and rivers.
After a few days of dry weather, it'll clear up.
As far as salinity, I don't think it'll affect much unless we get pounded with rain for 2 weeks straight.

looks like most of this week will be wet. Agree it will dirty up areas especially new the mouths of rivers, not sure how much of an impact it will have on salinity and the fish

That's good to know. I would have thought it would have made the whole coast muddy for a number of weeks.

Last heavy rain near SA brought brown tide to the ULM. That was pronably due to agricultural runoff. Maybe, just maybe this influx will be enough to bring fresh oxygenated water into the ecosystem and flush the area of brown. It will be interesting to see which way it goes.

There may be some localized 'flushing' with fresh. Ie... rivers and boyous will be fresh. It will take a couple of weeks for it to stabilize and mix in. A lot of areas in the bays will look like they are fresh, but will mostly be fresh on top of salty water.
will have to keep an eye on it though, stay flexible too. If you planned on going to an area, if it's not producing, move.

Hopefully it will keep all the lightweights away from the Bays
