I'm still on fence. Trying to get work square away. Needing this trip, I will be flying solo if anyone headed south from DFW area. And want to hook up.

I am sorry some of the old regulars cannot make it. They will be missed.

I would like everything off loaded and ready to shuttle at 9:00 AM Saturday at the bridge. I am waiting to hear back on the shuttle, but if we must we will shuttle ourselves as we have before. I will post up final as soon as I can.

Gear is organized and pretty much ready to go except to run to grocery for the munchies.

Sad that many of our regulars won't make this trip; but look forward to meeting new river friends!

Paul, thanks for all you do in organizing us (as usual). It's much appreciated. As of now, I'm planning on the 3 hr drive over to the put-in on Saturday AM and forgo the Hobo Camp this time, lol.

Getting excited about our own little trip. The kayak has been packed and ready since Tuesday for our Sunday put-in...just in time.

Two questions for the group:

1. Are they currently releasing water for the rice farmers?
2. How has the fishing been on the Colorado lately?

Been a little increase lately, not enough to farm.

Bastrop River Company is shuttling drivers at $10 a head. Please be off loaded and ready to leave the bridge at 9:00. Passengers can secure the equipment.

Its been a pretty steady 400 cfs release for quite a while now. The fishing has been great, last trip Tim and I caught over 50 in an afternoon.

Guys I am in bed except when up to make gifts to the Porcelain Goddess and will not be making trip.

I made arrangements with Lee at the Bastrop Canoe Company to shuttle riders from Fisherman's Park between 9:00 and 10:00. You will need to call when you leave the bridge and let him know you are on way over. His number is 1-888-972-9160.

The agreed price is $10.00 a passenger. I calculate 4 drivers at $40 and you might consider rounding it to $50 with a tip. Passengers can stay and guard gear at the river.

Oh man that's no fun! Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Hope the rest of y'all have a good trip on the river!

I've been battling another flare-up of gout this week, could not walk or drive without extreme pain, it's getting better slowly.

Sorry to hear that Paul.

I'm on the fence. I've had both yaks and gear loaded and ready to go except for the ice chest since early afternoon. Things have just gone downhill from there, sigh. My friend, who I was bringing along, called around 2:30 with a sudden onset of being severely queasy and lightheaded. Long story short, when he wasn't feeling much better I drove over earlier this evening with a BP cuff for a quasi-attempt at nursing duty. Altho he's feeling better, I put my foot down as far as taking him along on this trip. Not knowing what this "episode" was since he refused an ER Clinic......... he doesn't need to be on this type of trip if those symptoms should reoccur!!

Anyway, it's almost 10:00 ...... I have until 5 AM to decide whether I head out.............
