Where did you put in and take out?

How many days?

Is there plenty of sandbars / public access along the way?

Did you use a shuttle service, or arrange that yourself?

we went from saturday to saturday,it can be done in 3-4 days.it is a 55 mile trip.we put in at pandale and take out at the highbridge.this year we took two vehicles, dropped everything at pandale, took second vehicle to highbridge, dropped it off ,went back to pandale(leaving other vehicle at pandale)floated river, loaded everything, wnet back to pandale and picked up other vehicle,we also had a friend meet us and tow us the last 8 miles or so.there is no public access along this river the only put in spot is pandale, unless you are fortunate to know someone that owns land along this strectch.you can stop and camp anywhere you find aspot.

How was the flow? It rained last night out here and I hope we get more before we head down the Pecos in a few weeks. Great photos!

Are the sand bars plentiful and suitable for camping?

flow was not bad, when we left gauge at pandale showed about a foot.but if you have ever done this trip on the 2nd to 3rd day you know you hit the flutes, which you are going to have some dragging.springs were flowing along the river, the dramatic level diffrence was after the weir dam.and there are not alot of sandbars mainly lots of rocks.we have several favorite spots we stop at to camp, but mainly rocks!

Cool pics. I was looking at the photos of primitive art, and was thinking it would be funny if in a thousand years people were trying to get an understanding of OUR culture from our graffiti... Anyhoo, I'm going to do that float one of these days, I would just have a hard time getting away for that long. I know the take out access is extremely limited, and what I've been wondering is if it would be possible for access for take out via continental ranch. I know they have climbing/camping stuff going on, so it seems like it may be a possibility, for a price. Any ideas?

the ranch would be agreat spot to take out,but last i heard they do not cater to kayakers,i know many years ago the owner of ski skeller sports in midland had the hook up to take out there.but i think that has stopped.
