fishing is fishing. within the scope of the rules it's all good. Some methods might be considered more 'sporting' than others - by which I think we mean making it a little more difficult for us to catch them - but hell - gulf, braided line, needle sharp hooks, scent sprays, multi gear reels, high tech rods, even the plastic seats we float around in - are all designed to make catching fish easier.

so are we cheating too?

oh - and dudethatchangeshishandlebecausehegotbustedontkfkeepingundersidedfish - stay away from posting for a while. And stay away from poaching for a while too.

If you aren't wearing a loin cloth and spearing fish, then you're cheating!

I agree, he probably gets it. And, the "razzing" he got here (and collectively it was quite the razzing) stung a lot less than the embarrassment and huge fines he would faced had he been caught by a game warden.

There were a LOT of responses and that part was overwhelming. However, it's a subject most of us here feel passionate about, and rightfully so. And, except for the giant "epic fail" pictures and the fact that it got a little off topic towards the end, I felt the responses never got too out of hand. There were just a lot of them.

I doubt he'll ever do it again. It's clear to me (and I could be wrong) that he knows the regulations. He was simply keeping illegal fish. He never owned up to it and stuck to the "the fish you see in that picture were released and swam away" story.

But, he was clearly ashamed in the end and sometimes that's what it takes.

Whoa!!! I think he got the picture!! Caroustech hopefully you learned a good lesson here dont post pics of your undersized fish ...J/K bud. As you can tell most of the people on this forum are very serious about bag limits and regulations because we all know that they are there to protect the great resources that we sooo much enjoy. Alot of people are content catching fish and practice CPR. Luckily none of us have to catch fish to survice though it may sometimes seem like it to our wives who have to put up with us on weekends where we are stuck at home or weekdays when the conditiosn are perfect and we just sit in our kayaks wishing we were on the water (what is that only me that does that)!!! Anyways nothings irks us more than people breaking the rules. Hope you learned a little something here but please feel free to keep posting up reports (OF LEGAL FISH) and don't be ashamed to join some of us who post up where we are going.

Man, I knew when I saw a fishing report that was 6 pages long that something strange was afoot. I had no idea....
I think he's had enough, let's get him out there and show him how to do it right.
Tight Lines!

PS.
@jimithing- Don't they only have those in Philly? I think Jake's Philly Cheesesteaks in Houston may have some....

wow, how did I miss this one (I'm still untwisting my panties that I missed out on some drug induced BTB! dued wheres my yak)

I would have thought with all the recent news with Congressman Weiner y'all would realize it hurts a lot less to just spill it up front!

What I got out of this is y'all called him on it but aren't holding a grudge (unless it happends again).

So I highly recommend you post up again and often with legal fish, it won't be long until that turd is out of the punch bowl.

ohhhhh and I like the fact you kept your username, but could ya change it to "Congressman Weiner"?

i kid i kid!

I would like to hear from carsautotech about how his trip to the TPWD office went.

Im sure he never made it down to the TPWD office...but i do believe that there were a few whistle blowers that forwarded those pics to a couple game wardens....
