ummm....Here's 2 that I figured fit your style a little better:
how about "The Great Outdoors" with John Candy?
b...bbb....bbb...
bbb...bbbb...bbiig...
bbb...bbbiigg...bbbiiggg....bbb...bb
bb..bbiiig...bb..bb.bbear....
bbb..bb...bbbig..bbear...in woods....
bbb...bbig..bear..in...woods..cchh..cchhase...me...
and...
Deliverance. (I bet you can hear the faint twang of a banjo in the background right now)
"you sure got a purty mouth."
PS - James Fennimore Cooper version is better than the movie, but it got a bit slow in parts...
"Predator" is my favorite all time outdoors movie.

The first that came to mind are:
Movie: "Man in the Wilderness" 1971
Book: "Goodbye to a River" (John Graves)
P.S. Every fisherman should read "The River Why" (David James Duncan)

#1 - Last of the Mohicans, Daniel Day Lewis version (one of the few times that I liked the movie better than the book)
#2 - Tom Horn with Steve McQueen
#3- Any of the Disney-Fess Parker "Davey Crockett" movies.Yeah,I know that I just dated myself with that one!

"Deliverance" is my favorite archery movie. This next is about the outdoors, but it's about the sea and fishing. It's title is, "The Old Man And The Sea" starring Spencer Tracy.

Great Outdoors is an all-time fav for comedy- John Candy and Dan Aykroyd still crack me up in that one..." sorry, my cellphone signal is kinda weak, I'm out here in God's country" and the cell phone he is on is HUGE!!
For pure scenery...All time fav is Dances with Wolves...classic

Movies:
1. Jeremiah Johnson - this one is obvious...
2. Last of the Mohicans
3. A River Runs Though It
4. Legends of the Fall - you just have to look past Brad Pitt
5. Pale Rider - technically a western and not an "outdoor" movie, but it has some great scenery
Books:
1. Into the Wild
2. Goodbye to a River
