pelican zest kayak

Academy sports has the pelican zest on sale for $199. Is this kayak good enough to paddle a half mile or so up a fairly still river and carry a fishing pole to catfish with?

The answer is yes... the kayak can make it 1/2 mile down a still river
with a fishing pole...But, what about you in it with drinks, gear, pole and
if you catch fish? And you have to make it back. Look at the weight limits,
space limits and then can you paddle for 30 min. then fish and then paddle back?
